I am a master Electrician and a reef keeper. I have been looking for a way to keep my livestock alive when the power goes out for hours or even possibly days without buying an expensive backup generator to power my entire home so I designed a box that will easily and effectively switch to battery power in the event of a power outage keeping your pets happy and healthy with water movement for gas exchange and oxygen.

So you say that is already out there? Well the ReefBoxx is much different than any other backup system. The ReefBoxx allows you to choose just how long you would like to back up your aquarium. Just need a few hours to make it home and start up your small generator? No problem! Need a back up for many hours or days? No problem! Reef Tank, Fresh Water, Fish Only? No Problem!

The ReefBoxx is a controller box that switches battery power automatically when the power goes out & comes back on. You configure the battery bank so that you have as much or as little backup battery time as you desire. It keeps the water moving in your aquarium at 100% speed and can be used with all DC powered pumps!

You are the one who decides if they want to back up their aquarium for hours or days and just how you will configure it. Below is a stand alone setup that I have been using for the last 16 months. This setup is 100% automatic. The bluer pics are the 2nd gen prototype that is smaller than the 1st. Still planning to make a 3rd gen that is even smaller.

Yes any DC powered pump 12/24 volts will work with the ReefBoxx.
No, You will receive the Reef Box as well as a couple cords to make things easy. You decide what AH batteries that you would like to use and configure your system how you like. (you can purchase the batteries just about anywhere online and local battery shops) which keeps your costs down as buying direct. And yes we we are here to help you every step of the way.
The Reef Boxx is under $100.
